Thicken walls for the application of valves and butterfly valves

During renovation - revitalization work, it often happens that butterfly valves and fire valves need to be replaced or installed. But in practice the inner walls have a thickness of 70 mm. These often meet a 60 minute requirement, but are too thin for the application of fire dampers. Fire dampers are only tested in thicker walls of 100 mm thick. This can be read in the test reports of the various manufacturers.

In order to meet the requirements of the test report, a wall of 100 mm, the wall at the location of the valve must be thickened to a thickness of 100 mm. Especially for this Hofstee Preventie Service delivers a 30 mm thick Tecbor fire resistant plate. When there are many similar situations, we can supply the plate made to measure.
